Scrot stands for SCReenshOT, which allows the users to take screenshots of the desktop, terminal and also a specific window. The screenshots can be taken manually or automatically with the help of the cron job. The scrot command tool is similar to the import command but the scrot save the captured images automatically. It supports several different image formats to provide flexible and comfortable environment.
