mtr command

mtr command enables the system administrator to diagnose the network errors and provide network status reports. It allows the users to poll a remote server constantly and report the changes in performance. The mtr command shows the efficient content of the network traffic through the routers or hubs, when two systems connected over the internet. ICMP packets are used to find the route between the source and the specified destination.
