Processor is a control center that responds and processes the basic instruction of computer. The processor is used to functions like fetch, decode, execute and write back. In Linux system, the proc command provides speed and information about the CPU. It also acts an interface to the kernel data structures. The command lscpu allows the users to know the information about CPU architecture.
