RubyGems
RubyGems manages the installation of the gems which contain the program and libraries. It also manages the server for distributing the gems. A gem is a command line interface for managing Ruby. RubyGems integrates with Ruby run-time loader in order to find and load installed gems from standardized library folders. In functionality, RubyGems is similar to apt-get, portage and yum.
