Clicker Trojan Infected iOS Apps Are Taken Down By Apple

The researchers from Wandera have found almost 17 iOS apps that are downloaded from Apple's App Store are infected with a malware called clicker trojan. So Apple has removed all the infected iOS apps from its app store. The clicker trojan is a hacking technique in which when the user performs the click action the details of the user are hacked. These infected apps cover different categories including productivity, platform utilities, and travel.

The clicker trojan affects your device once it is downloaded into your android with the infected app. Once this malware is downloaded into your device then the speed of the device automatically slows down and without any user interaction the web page will be opened now and then and also unwanted links will be clicked without the user knowledge.

The researchers from Wandera have confirmed that iOS clicker trojan uses the C2 server and a similar Android ad fraud was also discovered by the researchers from Dr.Web which was dubbed as Android.Click.312.origin and Android.Click.313.origin which was distributed through the apps in Google Play Store. And finally, to get rid of the clicker trojan malware the Apple has taken down all the affected app from its app store.
