How to Update MySql and phpMyAdmin in CentOS Web Panel

Initially start the updating process by checking your current Mysql and phpMyAdmin versions from centos web panel UI.

Mysql version

mysql_version

phpMyAdmin version

phpmyadmin_version

To starting, updating the MySQL and phpMyAdmin change the directory to /scripts/ in the terminal.

[root@cwp Desktop]# cd /scripts/
[root@cwp scripts]# ls -l

To upgrade the MySQL version, type the following command to retrieve the configuration file.

[root@cwp scripts]# vim upgrade_mysql

configuration

After running the upgrade script, run the following command to upgrade the MySQL version and phpMyAdmin version.

[root@cwp scripts]# sh upgrade_mysql

Next check the updated phpMyAdmin version.

To login into phpMyAdmin,enter the mysql root user credentials.

Open the /root/.my.cnf file, you will enter the root user password.

[root@cwp ~]# vim .my.cnf

Now login and check the phpMyAdmin version.
