How to install virtualbox V 5.1 on linuxmint 18.3

To install VirtualBox V 5.1 on Linux Mint 18.3

VirtualBox is a free and cross-platform virtualization application. It supports both 32bit and 64bit Architecture guest operating system. You can create and run guest operating systems inside a window of the host computer. This tutorial covers the method to install VirtualBox V 5.1 on Linux Mint 18.3

Installation

Before starting your installation you have to add the Oracle public key using the following command

linuxhelp ~ # wget -q https://www.virtualbox.org/download/oracle_vbox_2016.asc -O- |  apt-key add -

linuxhelp ~ # wget -q https://www.virtualbox.org/download/oracle_vbox.asc -O- |  apt-key add -

And then we have to update our system repository

Now we can install vm virtualbox application using the following command

linuxhelp ~ # apt-get install virtualbox-qt
