To Install Typing tutor On Ubuntu 20.4.1

Introduction:

A Typing Tutor is an application that can allow us to learn and test our typing skills. There are several popular Typing Tutor applications that can run efficiently on Ubuntu. In this tutorial, let us see the installation of Klavaro and Tuxtype, two of the most popular typing tutor applications. Check the OS version by using the following command

root@linuxhelp:~# lsb_release -a

Install Klavaro by simply running the following command.

root@linuxhelp:~# apt-get install klavaro -y

  klavaro
0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 248 not upgraded.

Once the installation has been completed, open the application from your terminal using the command “ klavaro.” The Klavaro application appears on your screen.

root@linuxhelp:~# klavaro

snap1 You can choose the test options and test your typing skills. Here, the speed test has been chosen. snap2 Now type the passage shown on the screen. snap3 Once you have completed the test, your test analysis is displayed on the screen. snap4 Installing TuxType You can simply install TuxType by running the following command.

root@linuxhelp:~# apt-get install tuxtype -y
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree       
Reading state information... Done
The following additional packages will be installed:
  fonts-sil-andika fonts-sil-doulos libfluidsynth2 libinstpatch-1.0-2 libmad0 libmikmod3 libopenal-data libopenal1
  libsdl-image1.2 libsdl-mixer1.2 libsdl-pango1 libsdl1.2debian libsdl2-2.0-0 libsndio7.0 timgm6mb-soundfont tuxtype-data

TuxType has been installed, launch it through your Ubuntu dashboard. snap5 Choose from the list of menus available on TuxType as per your wish, and check your typing skills. snap6
