How to install Picapy in Ubuntu

To install Picapy in Ubuntu

Picapy is an open source application that manages the Picasa web images without using browser. It is used for uploading Picasa Web images and it allows multiple uploads at the same time. In this article we will learn, how to install Picapy in Ubuntu is explained.

To install Picapy

Utilize the following command to add the repositories.

user1@linuxhelp:~$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:atareao/atareao 
 Applications from atareao
 More info: https://launchpad.net/~atareao/+archive/ubuntu/atareao
Press [ENTER] to continue or ctrl-c to cancel adding it

Then update the repository by running the following command.

user1@linuxhelp:~$ sudo apt-get update

Once the update is done, start installing the picapy package.

user1@linuxhelp:~$ sudo apt-get install picapy

Open the application from the Unity dashboard and the software is ready to use.

To uninstall Picapy

Run the following command to uninstall the Picapy packages.

user1@linuxhelp:~$ sudo apt-get remove picapy

The following packages will be REMOVED:
  picapy
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 to remove and 350 not upgraded.
