How to install PhotoFiltre LX in Ubuntu

To install photoFiltre LX in Ubuntu

PhotoFiltre LX 0.9 is a free-ware, cross platform image editing software. It is known for its features like preference Dialog, image manipulation, Window modes, Tool palette. Installation of PhotoFiltre is explained in this manual.

To install PhotoFiltre LX

Navigate to download directory by using the below command.

root@linuxhelp:~# cd /home/user1/Downloads/  


Run the following command to download the PhotoFiltre tool.

root@linuxhelp:/home/user1/Downloads# wget https://launchpad.net/photofiltre-lx/trunk/studio-1.0/+download/PhotoFiltreLX-STU_1.0_Beta.deb

Next set execute permission for that deb file as shown below.

root@linuxhelp:/home/user1/Downloads#  chmod +x PhotoFiltreLX-STU_1.0_Beta.deb  


Utilize the ' dpkg' command to install PhotoFiltreLX.

root@linuxhelp:/home/user1/Downloads# dpkg -i --force-depends PhotoFiltreLX-STU_1.0_Beta.deb

(Reading database ... 213509 files and directories currently installed.)

Next run the following command for installing the dependency files required for the Photofiltre.

Search and open the photofiltre application from the Ubuntu dashboard.
search

The application opens as follows.
applicaiton_opens

Click “ new” icon to add a new file.
new_file

Now the setting window appears, set the new window pixels and click “ ok”

photoFilter

Next add the image to be edited by hitting “ open”
click_open

Choose the image and click “ open”
open_image

And start editing your image.
