To install Krita on Parrot OS 3.9

Krita is a free and open source digital painting tool designed for concept artists, illustrators, matte and texture artists, and the VFX industry. It is built based on Qt 5 and KDE frameworks and is one of the widely used rastor graphics editor. It is very simple to install Krita on Parrot OS 3.9, and this article covers the ground on the same process.

Installing Krita

To begin with the installation procedure, add required repository in sources.list file using vim editor. Save and exit the changes.

#vim /etc/apt/sources.list

deb-src http://deb.debian.org/debian/ stable main contrib non-free

Once it is done, you need to update your machine by making use of the following command.

After that, you need to install Krita in your machine and for that, you need to run the following command.

#apt-get install krita

Your Krita application has been installed, you shall launch it by Graphics ---> Krita

You can also check the version of the Krita application which you' ve just installed when the application is getting loaded.

When the application is open, the editor of the application appears on your screen.
