How to install Deepin – 3.0 on Ubuntu – 18.04

To install Deepin &ndash 3.0 on Ubuntu &ndash 18.04
Deepin Music is a beautiful and easy to use music player developed by Deepin Team. It’ s the default music playing application in Linux Deepin. Deepin Music focuses on local music playing. It can do a smart scan on local drives to add local music folder at background automatically. This tutorial covers the method to install Deepin &ndash 3.0 on Ubuntu &ndash 18.04.

Installation

in this tutorial, we are going to install deepin using the snapd package manager so lets first install snapd using the following command.

root@linuxhelp1:~# apt-get install snapd
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree       
Reading state information... Done
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
  apache2-bin apache2-data apache2-utils libapr1 libaprutil1 libaprutil1-dbd-sqlite3
  libaprutil1-ldap
Use ' sudo apt autoremove'  to remove them.

To install a Deepin application using the snap command use the following command.

root@linuxhelp1:~# snap install deepin-music
deepin-music 0.1 from ' xiaoguo'  installed

Deepin application has been installed now and in order to open the application goto Ubuntu menu and type Deepin on the menu.
ubuntu_menu

Once the app icon appears, click to open it.
deepin_application

You can check the version of the deepin application by browsing to the about option from the top right menu bar.
deepin_version

With this, the method to install deepin on ubuntu 18.04 comes to an end.
