To install Bomi Multimedia Player on Linux Mint 18.03

Bomi multimedia player is a graphical user interface (GUI) based on mpv for Linux. The player is easy to setup and use, supports many formats, hardware decoding and video playback from youtube. It is so simple to install Bomi Multimedia Player on Linux Mint 18.03 and this tutorial covers the ground on the same process.

Installing Bomi Multimedia Player

First, we have to add the repository of Bomi multimedia player and for that, you need to make use of the following command.

linuxhelp ~ # add-apt-repository ppa:nemonein/tailored

Cantata - KDE Builds (https://github.com/CDrummond/cantata)
Bomi - Bomi + New Commits (https://github.com/d-s-x/bomi/commits/develop)
and Nimf (https://github.com/cogniti/nimf)

Nimf originally supports multiple language engines, such as Korean, Chinese, and Japanese.
However, only Korean is included in the version of this PPA.
