Frequently asked questions ( 5 )

Q

Can my IVR application be transferred to a purchased IVR system?

A

Yes. For most outsourced IVR applications, the actual IVR program can be transferred to a system purchased from DSC at minimal expense. If internet integration has been provided with the IVR application, the cost is higher. DSC will provide this estimate upon request and perform the transfer in a timely manner.

Q

How long have you been in business serving hosted clients?

A

Database Systems Corp. was founded in 1978 and has been providing products and services to our industry far more than any of our competitors. We've served small organizations and companies. We've likewise provided products to our Government and large Fortune 100 companies alike.

Q

How is integration with existing applications handled?

A

DSC has developed the most comprehensive integrated solution for voice applications available on the market today. From our "Open IVR" approach to our XML data access and client/server design, we provide our clients with the most choices when it comes to database integration.

Q

What is IVR in Elastix?

A

IVR - short for Interactive Voice Response - automates interaction with telephone callers. Most people are familiar with IVR applications.
These applications allow users to retrieve information such as bank balances, flight schedules, and movie showtimes from any telephone and without the help of a live operator.

Q

Where do I start in order to create my own IVR applications?

A

The best place to start is the IVR Tutorial.
The first part contains a user guide for creating an interactive voice or text application using the graphical design environment. The second part is for developers.
A good starting point for your own application is to copy one of the sample IVR applications included in the IVR Studio program.
You can open these samples from the Library menu of the program.
