To add system recordings and create IVR in Elastix

In the previous articles, we learnt about many functions and features in Elastix, now we' ll see how to create a IVR in Elastix.

Creating IVR

To create a new IVR, it is required to add system recordings, to create system recordings, select PBX from the sidebar. Choose PBX configuration and select system recordings

Enter the extension for which a system recording has to be set and then click go

You need to add a audio file with supported asterisk format. So, choose a file.

Once it is done, upload the file.

After uploading the files, name the file and click save.
Recording_file
The recording is successfully added.

Now click on Add a new IVR.

Enter all the options that you need and leave others as default. Once you have entered the details, click submit

Press Apply Config to create the IVR

IVR is now succesfully created.

what is the procedure for creating the partition in elastics?

A

Step is to create system partition requires before installing elastix. We need to create 3 partitions.

1. The System or Boot partition requires minimum 500M which should be mounted on /boot mount point.



2. The Swap partition which should double your RAM size, will be mounted on swap.



3. The Root partition which can set size according to your needs and should be mounted on /.

what is the next step after partitioning the elastix?

After the partioning

we need to configure Network and hostname we can either configure the network now or can also be done after the installation is completed

where the back up will be saved in Elastix?

A

After creating a backup file that displays in dashboard and you have to download for future use
