Cyber Essentials Guide Published by The US Govt To Block Malware Attacks

{{postValue.id}}

The users and system administrators in the US were recommended by the Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to configure their systems to defend against malware that can exploit improper configurations. This will help the users to avoid potential malware attacks. The users are not only advised to configure their systems but CISA has provided a list of security practices to avoid the malware. One of the advised technique is to install and maintain anti-malware solutions with alert messages when clicking and opening links.

A Cyber Essentials guide is launched by the CISA for small businesses and small SLTT governments. The major motive of the Cyber Essentials guide is to equip the organizations with basic steps and resources to improve their cybersecurity resilience. Also, a Cyber Essentials infographic was published by the CISA listing the measures that the organizations take to avoid the cyber risks. The Us government also arranged for many campaigns regarding creating awareness among the people about the malware.

The DHS was also so encouraging to the US consumers to be aware of the incoming malicious campaigns and scams, especially in the holiday seasons. Not only the general users were warned but also the government partners and cyber community to reinforce ransomware defenses in a joint statement. They were also advised to go through the best practices recommended by the CISA, MS-ISAC, NGA, and NASCIO.
