To create subdomain for existing domain

A subdomain is a subsection of your website that can exist as a new website without a new domain name. Use subdomains to create memorable URLs for different content areas of your site.

To create sub-domain for existing domain

First login to the WHM page and click on account information to view the available information

Now click List accounts

Home> > Account Information> > List Accounts

You can view the list of domain with IP address, username and other details.

For example, you can create a subdomian for your blog that is accessible through blog.example.com and www.example.com/blog

Now click on cPanel icon and then cPanel window appears.

In the domain section, click on subdomains

To create sub-domain 1

Now let us create with sub-1 as username for sub domain 1 and click document root tab.

The document root tab shows the sub-1 subdomain is to be created in public_html folder. Here I' m removing the public_html since I don' t want to create sub-domain inside that folder so just typing subdomain name and click create.

Now the subdomain 1 is successfully created.

To create sub-domain 2

Now Create an another subdomain called sub-2 and remove the public_HTML and click create.

Now the sub domain 2 is successfully created.

Here you can view the created subdomains.

To modify the Document Root

In this section, you can modify the created sub-domain' s Document root. Click edit near to that Document root name to modify.

New pop up screen appears to change the document root.

Enter the new name you wish to modify and Click Change.

Now the document root is updated.

To remove the sub domain

Click on remove to delete the sub domain.


To manage redirection

Click on manage redirection for the account. Now enter the redirection link in the specified column. Click save to point out to the redirection path to this sub domain.
